Solar Shading Systems

Winter is approaching and it is a good time to discuss effective shading systems. Solar heat penetration is greatest in the winter due to the low angle of the sun, which generates the greatest amount of discomfort.

Decorating with Fabric's Solar Shading System can address such concerns as heat penetration and glare control. Through careful analysis of our client's requirments we can suggest the proper fabric based on either color, openess and/or content. Additionally, our Solar Shading Systems can be designed for multiple types of installations including greenhouses, skylights and very large windows. This includes manual and motorized systems which we can successfully intergrate with any automation systems.

We offer a large selection of Solar Shade and Blackout Shade Fabrics. Our collection includes fabrics from Mermet, Phifer, Verosol and Rockland Mills. There is a fabric for any application including PVC Free, weaves with openess from 1% to 23%, fabrics for heat reflection and glare control.

Neil;

I recently completed a screen shade installation in an office building, and the tenant is claiming that the M-screen (charcoal/apricot 5%) shades are actually increasing the room temperature by absorbing heat from the sun on the south side. Have you ever come across this type of complaint?
